Model 308 is programmable for:
time of day -
start of "sunrise" -
length of sunrise -
total time on.
It has an ON - OFF feature so your lamp may be
used normally and you can shut off
"sunrise" when ever you like.
It also has a backup battery that prevents loss of programming.
Model 308 is more complicated to use and is more expensive than
model 205 (there is always a catch).
It is still less expensive than most other simulators at $39.95.

Lighten Up! slowly lights a bedside lamp to
simulate dawn. This simulates sunrise and tells your brain
that it is time to get up and start the day. Instructions
are included. At the time you select, your lamp will slowly
go from off to full on. Uses a standard 60 watt
incandescent bulb (GE Soft White or similar). DO NOT USE Compact flourescent,
CLF, LED, or Tensor type lamps or bulbs. They will NOT work and
may damage the unit and your lamp. Do not use them.
Some dimmer style lamps also cause problems, some are O.K.
Avoid them, they offer no advantage.
Full Spectrum lamps are neither needed nor offer an advantage, save your money.

Model 308 Programming details. A little more to do than model 205 but the same result, your own daily "Sunrise!"
Model 308 battery replacement. Leave the unit plugged in and turned on and the battery will not need replacement for several years. It is only a back up for temporary power outages, the unit will function with or without it as long as it is plugged in and turned on. If you do not want "sunrise" turn your lamp off.
